Founding People Operations Manager

This is a full‑time role located onsite in New York, NY.
We’re looking for an entrepreneurial, systems‑mindful operator with an eye for design to own and scale People Ops at Hadrius. You’ll be a core part of the engine that keeps the company running smoothly, enabling everyone to move faster, attract top talent and focus on growth.
Core Responsibilities
Manage all office operations
Acquire new office space and develop it so everyone can do their best work
Manage office lease and vendors (IT, cleaners, building management, etc.)
Order snacks, beverages and organize meals
Recruiting coordinator
Help coordinate candidate interviews and communication to keep a tight process
Manage the interview lifecycle for candidates that come onsite
️ Build and nurture company culture
Codify and document company values, working norms, and people processes
Launch culture‑building initiatives like events and onboarding rituals
Be a trusted team advocate and cultural barometer
Own HR Admin & People Ops
Oversee payroll, onboardings, and benefits administration
Ensure compliance with labor laws and workplace policies
Help manage vendor relationships (e.g., HRIS, PEO, benefits providers)
Early Impact Timeline
First week:
Take the reins of our HRIS platform (Rippling) and ongoing office projects.
First month:
Transform the office into a space where folks are excited to show up and do their best work; operationalize HR processes; stand up dashboards and reporting for leadership.
First 3 months & beyond:
Build a scalable operating system for the company; deliver perfect compliance with payroll and employment laws; help make Hadrius one of the best places to work in NYC.
About You

Autonomy: operate with minimal supervision and make high‑quality decisions quickly.
Coachable: open to learning the Hadrius way while raising the bar.
All‑in: this role is not 9‑5; it requires a fast‑moving commitment.
Clear communicator: clear, direct, intentional and easy to follow.
Qualifications
1+ years of professional experience in HR/People Ops roles.
