Responsibilities First Watch Managers love mornings and the smell of bacon, and most importantly, they have an innate passion for serving others. We hire managers who coach and develop team members so they too fall in love with serving others.
We have immense pride in our food which is why we don’t subscribe to the old BOH versus FOH management structure. At First Watch, each manager is responsible for supervising both kitchen operations and the overall dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Learn and support our YOU FIRST culture and core values.
Utilize supervisory skills to keep daily operations running according to plan and with high standards.
Ensure recipes are followed, sourcing high‑quality food.
Know restaurant sales and traffic goals and work to exceed them.
Coach and observe the First Watch Five Steps of Service at every table.
Understand the background story of our 10 Commitments and put them into action.
Respond urgently to both customer and employee concerns.
Communicate and take immediate ownership of repair and maintenance issues.
Be certified in food safety and coach in all areas of safe food handling.
Continuously scout for and interview candidates to join our team.
Secure company assets, including computers, point of sale, security systems, and equipment.
Understand key responsibilities of every position in the restaurant.
Address inappropriate behavior, investigate as needed, and put an immediate stop to it.
Train, coach, and develop team members daily.
Recognize performance that exceeds expectations.
Account for all daily revenues and deposits.
Complete administrative duties and meet required paperwork deadlines.
