Quality Assurance Quality Control Inspector
5+ years’ experience as a QA Inspector in a production environment required.
Summary: The Quality Inspector works directly with production operators, shipping/receiving and material handlers. This includes production set up and support as well as material sign off and approvals.
Key Role Objectives & Responsibilities
Inspect and verify product quality to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
Ensure proper documentation and traceability of inspections.
Conduct audits on raw materials and finished products.
Work closely with production and industrial teams to address quality issues.
Confirm line clearance, material allocation, setup verification, and first‑piece approvals are properly conducted before production begins.
Utilize measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and indicators to ensure components meet specifications and function properly.
Monitor and enforce environmental compliance related to quality control processes, ensuring that materials, chemicals, and waste disposal methods meet regulatory and company standards.
Verify that any materials (e.g., silicone sprays) used in production are applied per environmental and safety regulations.
Ensure all quality control procedures align with workplace safety standards, actively identifying and mitigating potential hazards.
Monitor production processes to ensure quality standards are consistently followed.
Train operators on quality procedures, updated work instructions, and best practices.
Communicate quality and safety findings with the Quality and Safety Manager.
Ensure proper functionality of measuring devices and report any issues with calibration, accuracy, or malfunctioning equipment.
Report procedures and forms that need updates to maintain accuracy and compliance with industry standards to the Quality and Safety Manager.
Report and document any environmental non‑compliance issues observed during inspections.
Collaborate with other departments to improve quality and environmental sustainability initiatives.
Collaborate with environmental, health, and safety teams to support continuous improvement in safety and environmental performance.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience / Skills / Education
Familiar with calipers, micrometers, indicators, and force gauges.
Must be able to speak, read, and write fluently in English (bilingual in Spanish is a plus).
Competent in use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Must have strong communication skills.
Ability to work independently.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
