Business Solutions Manager at Ultimate Staffing Job Title: Traveling Construction Project Manager
Location:
Nationwide (Domestic Travel Required)
Salary:
Up to $120,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
About the Role We are seeking an experienced Traveling Construction Project Manager with a strong background in retail construction projects, including tenant improvements, renovations, and some ground‑up builds. This role requires frequent domestic travel for extended periods (weeks at a time) to oversee projects across various locations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all phases of retail construction projects from start to finish.
Develop complete construction proposals from construction documents for presentation to project ownership.
Draft and maintain RFIs, Submittal Packages, Meeting Agendas, and associated logs.
Procure, compile, and qualify subcontractor bids; prepare detailed Bid Tabs for owner approval.
Oversee project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.
Required Skills & Experience
Retail construction experience is mandatory (tenant improvement, renovation, and some ground‑up).
Proven track record managing commercial projects such as big-box retailers, grocery stores, and department stores.
Ability to craft comprehensive construction proposals from construction documents.
Strong knowledge of RFIs, submittals, bid processes, and meeting documentation.
Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, or similar).
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Willingness to travel extensively within the U.S. for multi‑week assignments.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with large‑scale retail rollouts or multi‑site programs.
Strong negotiation and subcontractor management skills.
Familiarity with budgeting and cost control for retail projects.
