Position Summary Hazeltine Nurseries is hiring a Paver Masonry Supervisor. The Paver Masonry Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the installation of pavers, hardscape features, and masonry structures. This role ensures that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications and quality standards. The supervisor leads crews, coordinates job‑site activities, and supports project timelines from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the daily work of paver installers, masons, and labor crews.

Review project plans, layouts, and measurements to ensure accurate installation of pavers, retaining walls, walkways, patios, and other hardscape features.

Ensure proper base preparation, grading, compaction, and drainage for all paver installations.

Monitor quality of work and enforce industry standards for alignment, slope, pattern, and finish.

Plan crew assignments and material/equipment needs for each project.

Inspect job sites frequently to ensure safety, productivity, and compliance with company and OSHA requirements.

Train, mentor, and coach team members in proper paver and masonry techniques.

Resolve onsite issues such as design changes, material shortages, or construction challenges.

Communicate progress, delays, and needs to project managers or superintendents.

Maintain accurate daily reports, timekeeping records, and material usage logs.

Ensure tools and equipment are used safely and maintained properly.

Qualifications

3–5 years of experience installing pavers, hardscape features, or masonry structures.

Prior supervisory or crew lead experience preferred.

Strong knowledge of paver installation standards, materials, base prep, and compaction methods.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and layout drawings.

Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills.

Strong understanding of safety regulations and job‑site best practices.

Ability to work in outdoor environments and manage multiple job sites as needed.

Valid driver’s license required.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly.

Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions.

Comfortable operating or supervising use of plate compactors, saws, skid steers, and other equipment.
