Job Overview
Manufacturing Technician – Optical Microscopes for life science imaging applications. Madison, WI. This role assembles mechanical, optical, and electrical component subassemblies and works closely with final system QA/QC and manufacturing engineering teams to deliver quality products and subassemblies.
Responsibilities
Assemble and manufacture instrumentation, subassemblies, and precision components.
Test assemblies and sub‑systems by running electrical/mechanical tests on devices to ensure standards are achieved.
Execute written SOPs and work instructions.
Modify and fabricate parts using small hand tools and under microscope (up to 40x magnification).
Debug assemblies or systems in cooperation with production team or engineering.
Work with manufacturing engineering to alter or improve assembly instructions.
Assist other departments as needed and as directed by the supervisor.
Ensure timely completion of assignments while meeting or exceeding quality standards.
Accurately document work performed and maintain production records.
Maintain a clean work environment.
Qualifications
Experience using basic mechanical tools and electrical testing tools.
2+ years of manufacturing or related experience (exact role and experience details are required).
