Summary
The Analytical Development team is seeking a highly self‑motivated analytical chemist for a 12‑month contract. This role will support analytical method development for small molecule and oligonucleotide programs. The position requires expertise in analytical chemistry and extensive experience with analytical techniques such as LC, LC‑MS, GC, and GC‑MS, along with knowledge of organic chemistry or pharmaceutical science. Hands‑on experience with high‑resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS) and prep LC is a plus.
Responsibilities
Design, execute, and document experiments under guidance.
Optimize analytical method conditions for LC and GC, including MS and other detectors.
Perform sample testing, analyze data, interpret results, and document findings.
Troubleshoot analytical and instrumentation issues.
Draft technical reports and protocols.
Participate in meetings related to advancements in analytical technologies for small molecule and oligonucleotide therapeutics.
Requirements
Experience working in a laboratory environment with basic lab skills (pipetting, solution preparation, centrifugation, filtration, etc.).
Extensive knowledge and hands‑on experience with LC and GC instrumentation and method development.
Experience with HRMS and prep LC is preferred.
Strong problem‑solving skills and motivation to learn.
Proficiency in IT tools such as office software and data management platforms.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Qualifications
MS or PhD in analytical chemistry, organic chemistry, pharmaceutical science, or related fields.
