$64,000 - $97,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Charlotte seeking Cost Accountants who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain standard costs for raw materials, labor, and manufacturing overhead.
Analyze manufacturing variances (material, labor, overhead) and provide insights into their causes.
Prepare detailed cost reports, profitability analyses, and inventory valuations for management.
Manage inventory costing, including work-in-process and finished goods, and reconcile inventory accounts.
Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts for manufacturing operations.
Identify and recommend cost reduction opportunities and efficiency improvements within production processes.
Support month-end close activities related to cost of goods sold and inventory valuation.
Recommended Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3+ years of progressive cost accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
In-depth understanding of cost accounting principles, standard costing, and variance analysis.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation abilities.
Bonus Qualifications
Experience with SAP CO, Oracle EBS Costing, or similar advanced ERP costing modules.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
Advanced proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
CMA (Certified Management Accountant) certification or active pursuit.
Strong SQL skills for data extraction and reporting.
