HVAC Product Engineer
Location: Louisville, KY
Salary: $60,000 - $80,000
Summary KCC, a leader in the climate control technology industry, is looking for a HVAC Product Engineer to join our team and help shape the next generation of products. This role combines technical expertise in commercial HVAC system design with hands‑on problem‑solving. In this position, you will work independently and collaboratively with a cross‑functional team—Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Purchasing—to design, support, and manufacture commercial HVAC equipment.

Responsibilities
Product Design: Design, analyze, and optimize commercial HVAC systems and components related to assembly, operation, and performance.
Product Support: Support Production, Sales, Applications, and Field Support teams in the operation of the product (product life cycle).
Develop Solutions: Engage with critical/high priority Engineering projects. Conduct product testing, troubleshooting, and implementation of changes.
Engineer to Order: Analyze custom requests and develop unique solutions to customers.
Vendor Relations: Collaborate with suppliers/vendors on the design of new and alternative components.
Continuous Improvement: Initiate continuous improvements for new and existing products, systems, and methods to improve performance, cost efficiency and reliability.
Specification and Regulatory Analysis: Analyze test results and implement appropriate changes to ensure products meet technical and functional requirements.
Documentation: Work with Sales, Production, and other engineering staff to help create and maintain sales documentation.
Ensure Accuracy: Provide clear, concise, and accurate information to all relevant internal and external customers.
Continuous Education: Maintain a working understanding of applicable industry standards (ASHRAE, AHRI, ANSI, etc.).
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent related experience
Software Proficiency:Proficient in Microsoft Suite
Technical Skills:Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Mechanical Skills: Strong hands‑on/mechanical aptitude.
Interpersonal Skills:Excellent personal interaction skills.
Time Management:Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
