About the Role Insight Global is hiring an
Accountant
to join the asset management team of a leading healthcare client. The role focuses on lease accounting and asset lifecycle management while ensuring compliance with ASC 842 guidelines. Although fully remote, candidates must be based in Winston‑Salem, NC or nearby areas.
Key Responsibilities
Perform lease accounting in compliance with ASC 842, including accounting for lease transactions and rent expense for financial reporting.
Manage the asset lifecycle by reviewing expenses, determining capitalization requirements, and recording assets appropriately.
Prepare and review journal entries (JEs), perform account reconciliations, and assist with month‑end close activities to ensure accuracy of postings.
Provide customer service to internal departments regarding asset changes and policy interpretation.
Collaborate professionally to communicate and enforce accounting policies.
Required Skills & Experience
2–5 years
of accounting experience.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
Hands‑on experience with month‑end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and balance sheet review.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Healthcare industry experience.
Experience with lease work and/or asset management (HUGE PLUS).
CPA certification and/or Master’s degree.
Relevant Experience for This Role
Month‑end closing and reviewing journal entries impacting the Balance Sheet.
Checking Income Statement and Balance Sheet for accuracy of entries.
Fixed asset work – additions, disposals, transfers.
Interpreting policies and making decisions based on them.
Lease accounting, specifically ASC 842 compliance.
Bank reconciliations and deposits.
Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable.
Payroll.
