The Financial Advisor partners with clients to help them achieve long-term financial goals: retirement, wealth building, estate strategies, funding education and more. You’ll develop and grow your own practice, supported by branch, regional and home‑office teams, and benefit from 100+ years of experience. Key Responsibilities
Build relationships to create new clients via face‑to‑face and virtual sourcing (residential, business, networking, introductions, referrals, social media, speaking engagements). Deeply understand clients’ and prospective clients’ needs, priorities and concerns to accelerate trust and create personalized, comprehensive strategies. Oversee branch processes, roles and responsibilities to ensure a high‑quality, streamlined client experience in line with firm policies, regulatory requirements and ethical guidelines. Engage the branch team to create, monitor and adjust the branch business plan to increase effectiveness and achieve desired results. Create a highly engaging environment in the branch of mutual trust, respect, feedback and accountability. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred or equivalent work‑related experience within the securities/financial services industry. Financial services and/or sales experience. Financial services registration, licensing or certification. Professional and/or military career progression. Licensing
SIE (can be obtained without firm sponsorship), Series 7 and Series 66 required. If not currently registered, registrations may be obtained at Edward Jones during the assigned paid study period. FINRA registrations required within three months; state insurance licenses required. Ongoing training awarded by the firm and regulatory authorities (FINRA/SEC) plus required CE to keep licenses in good standing. Compensation
We offer a new financial advisor compensation program that supports and rewards you as you learn essential skills and grow your business. The program includes trainee pay and a supplemental salary for up to five years, commissions and compensation for new assets gathered during the first five years. Supplemental Starting Salary Range:
$45,000 – $100,000 Benefits
Edward Jones’ package includes medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, voluntary benefits (accident, hospital indemnity, critical illness), disability income continuation, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage at no cost. We also offer a 401(k), health savings account, flexible spending account, paid sick leave and paid time off where required by law. Eligible advisors may receive bonuses, profit sharing, paid medical and parental leave, and participation in the firm’s Travel Award Program.
