Overview As a financial advisor, you will develop and grow your own practice supported by a branch office, a home‑office team, and regional advisors. Key Responsibilities
Build relationships to acquire new clients through face‑to‑face and virtual sourcing strategies (residential, business, networking, introductions, referrals, social media, speaking engagements).
Deeply understand clients’ needs, priorities, and concerns to accelerate trust and create personalized, comprehensive strategies.
Oversee branch processes and roles to ensure a high‑quality, streamlined client experience consistent with firm policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical guidelines.
Engage the branch team to create, monitor, and adjust the branch business plan to increase effectiveness and achieve desired results.
Create a highly engaging environment of mutual trust, respect, feedback, and accountability.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in securities/financial services industry.
Financial services and/or sales experience.
Financial services registration, licensing, or certification.
Professional and/or military career progression.
Licensing
SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 required; registrations may be obtained during paid study period.
FINRA registrations required within three months; state insurance licenses required.
Ongoing training and regulatory compliance required throughout employment.
Benefits Edward Jones’ compensation and benefits package includes medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, voluntary benefits (accident, hospital indemnity, critical illness), disability income continuation, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage. 401(k) retirement plan and tax‑advantaged accounts (HSA, FSA) are available. Paid sick leave and paid time off are provided where required by applicable law. All associates are eligible for the firm’s Employee Assistance Program and the Travel Award Program.
Compensation The new financial advisor compensation program includes trainee pay, a supplemental salary for up to five years, commissions, and compensation for new assets gathered during the first five years. Supplemental starting salary range $45,000 – $100,000.
