CPA | 10+ Years in Public & Corporate Accounting | Elite Recruiter for Accounting & Finance Talent | Partnering with Top Firms via Synergy Search A mission-driven healthcare organization in Cockeysville is seeking a Staff Accountant to support core accounting operations, general ledger activity, and financial reporting. This role plays an important part in ensuring accuracy across financial statements and supporting the month-end process.

About the Role

Monitor and analyze general ledger activity to ensure completeness and accuracy

Prepare recurring journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial schedules

Support month-end and year-end reporting by producing statements and variance analyses

Review revenue and expense trends and provide insight into performance fluctuations

Maintain daily cash activity reports and help assess organizational cash position

Assist with preparing profit & loss, balance sheet schedules, depreciation reviews, and other standard financial outputs

Support audits and internal review processes as needed

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline

2–4 years of relevant accounting experience; exposure to healthcare is a plus

Solid understanding of core accounting concepts, general ledger structure, and financial reporting

Strong analytical ability with comfort interpreting financial data

Experience with modern accounting software and productivity tools

Effective communicator who can clearly explain findings and financial trends

Commitment to accuracy, organization, and consistent follow-through
