AMI Data Analyst
The AMI Data Analyst team is a highly technical team that ensures the flow of AMI (Advanced Meter Infrastructure) and MV90 data to the GPC billing systems. This position ensures the continuous availability of high-quality data from the AMI Systems (Itron MV90, Sensus RNI and Oracle C2M - MDM) to CIS and all other systems that rely on meter data (for billing and other uses, both internal and external).
The AMI Data Analyst will analyze the daily performance of meters, ensure the continuity and quality of data, and identify potential operational exceptions causing data transmit issues to other systems. They will work with other team members to conduct daily analysis of system performance, initiate corrective action, identify performance trends, and develop operational processes to improve data collection.
The AMI Data Analyst will work closely with our partner organizations: Billing Services, Special Service Accounts, Metering Services, Power Delivery, and the Technology Organization.
The position’s working hours are 6:30am – 3:30pm, Monday – Friday with occasional "On-Call" assignments/irregular hours when required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills)
A four-year degree in business, computer systems, or engineering is preferred
A minimum of three (3+) years' experience in Customer Services, Metering Services, Distribution Operations or Technology Organization
Working knowledge of CIS (CSS), Work Management System (ARMS), WattNet Plus, Itron MV-90 and Sensus desired.
Basic knowledge of rate applications (residential and commercial).
Knowledge of GPC Customer Service standards desired.
Knowledge of Metering Equipment and field operations desired.
Ability to manage complex technology and business issues.
Experience performing data analysis and reporting desired.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Keyboarding / typing and computer skills required (Including #10 keypad usage).
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Assure continuous availability of high-quality data from the AMI/MV-90 systems to C2M / MDM by resolving data exceptions to ensure successful data flow of industrial and commercial customers.
Provide daily monitoring of AMI/MV-90 systems performance.
Apply understanding of conditions, processes and systems that interrupt data flow.
Work with appropriate field resources to collect billing data to improve billing performance.
Provide reporting of operational activities as required.
Provide training as necessary to help other departments understand the AMI portion of the Billing process.
Identify and communicate issues with systems and infrastructure through the support team.
