Operational Excellence Specialist (Bilingual)
Responsible for helping establish and support a document management system. Creates, formats, edits, organizes, and monitors all company-controlled documentation across all business units. Works to ensure all company required policies, plans, manuals, operating procedures, work instructions and other documentation are maintained and aligned with company standards. Develop processes/procedures for execution of all field activities within MasTec Renewables. Work with site teams, owners and Operational Excellence Managers (OEMs) to align all development information.
Responsibilities
Effectively communicate MasTec beliefs throughout the organization
Promote a culture of quality workmanship in the field
Promote and communicate company quality policies and procedures
Establish and maintain a quality management system compliant with regulatory, quality, company and customer requirements
Support effective implementation, communication, training and overall management of Zavanta Document Control Management System
Become a Zavanta Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Develop and update SOPs, plans, and policies to maximize safety, quality, performance, and profitability
Assist in the development of best practices and standard tools to continuously improve operational efficiency
Participate and/or lead problem‑solving and continuous improvement efforts using lean, Six Sigma, graphical analysis, and other similar methodologies
Ensure timely preparation and submission of required field reporting
Participate in Root Cause Analysis investigations and drive closure of action items
Support special projects as required to meet Operational Excellence initiatives
Provide front desk support to meet customer requirements as needed
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in quality, engineering, business, construction management or related field
Two to four years of administrative or related experience
One year experience in operations, quality or safety function preferred
Bi‑lingual language preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
Take reasonable care of own and others’ health and safety, supporting Zero Injury principles
Apply principles of quality, lean and continuous improvement
Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook
Read, analyze and interpret blueprints, OEM manuals, quality documents, technical procedures and associated drawings
Write reports, technical specifications, work instructions, procedures and business correspondence
Effectively present information and respond to questions at all levels
Communicate and develop positive working relationships with owners, site personnel and supervision
Apply basic statistics
Solve practical problems under standardized conditions
Interpret varied instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
Demonstrate drive and self‑motivation to work independently with minimal supervision, meeting deadlines
Working Environment
Exposure to hazards or physical risks requiring basic safety precautions
Moderate exposure to extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises
