Shift Supervisor – FT 40 Hours Tuesday – Saturday 4 pm – 12 am Crisis Bridgeport Continuum of Care invites applications for a full‑time Shift Supervisor. The role is a 40‑hour week, Tuesday through Saturday, 4 pm – 12 am.

Scope of Service Provides comprehensive planning and active supports for client care and treatment. Networks with community providers and provides case management supports. Supports management in training and supervision of direct care staff, interns, and volunteers. Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Job Functions

Supports management in administering program standards, procedures, and policies.

Monitors costs and allocates resources in line with agency and client needs.

Implements program changes reflecting agency priorities and strategic plans.

Provides case management training and assists in assigning caseloads.

Assists in monitoring agency vehicle use and maintenance.

Conducts supervisory spot checks with management.

Maintains property and ensures a welcoming environment.

Works with staff to promote a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Completes monthly data submissions to the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services and other contracting agencies.

Meets regularly with identified clients in‑home as needed to assess progress.

Maintains working relationships with community providers.

Attends agency‑sponsored in‑services, training, conferences, and meetings.

Establishes rapport and works with clients, developing community service plans.

Writes comprehensive progress notes and documents communications.

Provides on‑call coverage, crisis intervention, and support as needed.

Participates in monthly staff meetings, clinical rounds, and all‑treater meetings.

Participates in and conducts supervision as needed.

Facilitates/co‑facilitates weekly psycho‑educational groups.

Networks with community providers.

Adheres to policies, practices, HIPAA, and other regulatory requirements.

Models culturally competent behavior.

Maintains client records per contractual, licensing, and accreditation requirements.

Supports management in training and supervising direct care staff.

Participates in agency committee work when available.

Addresses concerns constructively and timely.

Schedules, attends, and participates in agency, team, and interdisciplinary meetings.

Completes all training requirements as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent with at least 3 years’ experience in a related healthcare field.

Bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year of experience in the behavioral health field.

Supervisor or leadership experience preferred.

Experience working with clients having severe and persistent mental illness, intellectual disabilities, homeless population, and/or co‑occurring substance use disorder.

Valid Connecticut driver’s license; reliable transportation and willingness to drive clients in personal vehicle required.

Current First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire.

Basic computer skills.

Knowledge of psychiatric rehabilitation principles preferred.

Knowledge of community support system and resources preferred.
