Job Description 1. Occupational Summary: Coordinating purchases for one or more purchasing commodities. Drafting, getting validated and deploying target purchasing policies for one or more commodities in accordance with internal customer needs. Guaranteeing objective attainment within scope in terms of gains and service level expected by Safran through supplier panel establishment and compliance with contractual commitments.

2. Essential Functions:

A) Coordinating, drafting and proposing the target purchasing policy to the purchasing director in accordance with company objectives.

B) Coordinating invitations to tender and implementing the supplier selection process.

C) Negotiating and drawing up contracts with selected suppliers.

D) Managing the panel of suppliers.

E) Managing supplier relations.

F) Reporting back to the purchasing department.

G) Acting as the key contact of the lead family buyer.

) Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations and internal standards at Safran.

I) Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Education & Qualification: A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business or related field, or six years of equivalent experience.

Work Experience: Eight years of hands‑on experience in purchasing/sourcing with direct spend management of targeted commodities; ability to map supply chains and overcome obstacles; strong background building strategic relationships with suppliers and internal customers; self‑directed with close supervision.

Professional Skills: Operational experience over 8 years; knowledge of development and production processes; project management, configuration management, transverse management, cross‑functional management, analysis and formalization of customer requirements, supplier relationship management, purchasing administration, economic performance analysis, negotiation fundamentals, industrial management methods, Microsoft Office proficiency.

Behavioral Skills: Highly organized, goal‑oriented, stress‑management, active listening, time management, analytical mindset, persistence.

Desired: Bilingual English & Spanish; advanced degree; PMP, CSCP/CPM; Green Belt; MAPICS ERP, Powerlink; Excel, Access; APQP, D&PFMEA, control plan.

Travel International and/or Domestic travel required; 10–15 %.
