The Coordinator of Athletics Facilities position is responsible for the daily supervision and maintenance of athletics facilities and events, including event preparation and event management. Duties include facility management and maintenance, facilities access systems and work order systems for Athletics.
All duties must be performed in compliance with University, Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities Game and Event Management
Assist in managing all duties for Villanova Athletics events, special events and outside events, as assigned.
Serve as primary contact for game day management for sports, as assigned. Complete and distribute Olympic sport event manuals for all assigned sports.
Communicate with visiting teams to schedule practice times, arrival/parking procedures, locker room availability, etc.
Hire, train, and supervise all associated student staff and game-day event staff.
Serves as liaison to assigned campus operating units who require athletic facilities or are involved in athletic department events.
Serve as primary contact and responsible for managing annual campus events, as assigned.
Assist with event management for men’s and women’s Basketball, Football, Commencement, Big East Championships, and other larger events held in Athletics facilities.
Assist with the scheduling of Athletics facilities.
Facility Management
Responsible for various setups and breakdowns for events including but not limited to setting up tables and chairs, staging, carrying equipment, and monitoring for cleanliness.
Assist with project management on various facility maintenance, renovation, and/or construction projects.
Responsible for the building management and maintenance of Athletics facilities as assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Formal Education
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant professional field (e.g. Sport Management, Business Administration or related discipline).
Work Experience
0-2 years experience in athletics administration, preferably with exposure to facilities and events management.
Work Skills
Ability to manage multiple projects under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational and verbal/written communication skillls.
Collaborative team player with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Detail-oriented and proactive problem solver.
Specific Job Knowledge
Familiarity with how collegiate athletics events operate, including basic game flow and facility needs.
Awareness of safety expectations, crowd considerations, and general event-readiness standards.
Understanding of University policies and basic guidelines that apply to athletics spaces and events.
General understanding of how campus partners (Facilities, Public Safety, Custodial, Parking) support operations.
Equipment Knowledge
Proficiency with personal computer applications (word processing, spreadsheets, database, on-line work order systems).
Other
Professional work environment with significant night and weekend hours.
Strong integrity and character who shares a commitment for knowing and complying with NCAA , Conference, and University rules.
Preferred Qualifications Formal Education
Master’s Degree in Sport Administration or related field.
Work Experience
Two to three years of experience in athletics administration or intercollegiate sports management.
Experience in a managerial or leadership role directing students and/or graduate extern.
Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours Tools, machinery and equipment used
Utility carts, grounds equipment, etc.
Environmental conditions: (any unusual/adverse conditions such as exposure to chemicals, noise, illumination, air quality, weather exposure etc.)
Some outdoor work in varying weather conditions
Physical requirements

Significant evening, weekend, and holiday hours required to support Athletics schedules.
Physical requirements include lifting, carrying, and setting up equipment; standing for extended periods during events; and outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
