Connecting Telecom Talent with Amazing Opportunities We’re seeking an experienced 5G RAN Operations Engineer to support a remote network surveillance and troubleshooting team responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and restoring a large‑scale 5G radio access network.
This is a hands‑on operations role focused on Tier II diagnostics, outage restoration, and escalation support, with close collaboration across NOC teams, field operations, vendors, and engineering stakeholders. The role also includes training and mentoring Tier I NOC staff and supporting new 5G site deployments.
What You’ll Do
Lead Tier II field diagnostics and outage restoration for 5G RAN incidents
Monitor, troubleshoot, and restore services across RAN, transport, and network systems
Analyze network events, implement corrective actions, and document resolutions
Escalate complex issues to internal engineering teams and external vendors
Support new 5G site turn‑ups and fronthaul transport deployments
Perform site health checks and post‑maintenance validation
Collect traces and analyze faults using vendor tools and network probes
Produce incident reports, root cause analyses, and lessons learned
Drive process improvements, automation opportunities, and operational efficiencies
Train and mentor Tier I NOC technicians and support daily operations
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams during high‑impact network events
What We’re Looking For
Hands‑on experience supporting 5G RAN operations and troubleshooting
Strong understanding of RAN architecture (RU, DU, CU, split functions, virtualized ORAN environments)
Transport troubleshooting experience (fronthaul, backhaul)
Ability to isolate RF, equipment, and transport‑related issues
Strong documentation, communication, and escalation skills
Experience with alarm monitoring, ticketing systems, and RCA development
Ability to work cross‑functionally with NOC teams, field ops, vendors, and leadership
Familiarity with site maintenance, MOP validation, and operational safety practices
Preferred Experience & Certifications
Wireless 5G deployment and integration experience
Advanced knowledge of cell site topology, transport, and RF KPIs
OSHA 10 and RF Awareness
Experience supporting automation, CI/CD, or orchestration initiatives
First Aid / CPR or CPI certification a plus
