Role: Advanced Coating Technician (Onsite). This position is located in Tucson, AZ and is integral to the advanced coating and surface preparation of fabricated parts, assemblies, composite structures, airframes, and test equipment as part of Raytheon’s aerospace manufacturing processes. Location

DoD Clearance: Secret. U.S. citizenship is required, and only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance prior to start date is mandatory. Responsibilities

Perform surface preparation, masking, grit blasting, sanding, and chemical rinsing processes for advanced coatings on fabricated parts and assemblies. Set up, adjust, and operate robotic, automatic, and manual coating equipment, spray guns, airbrushes, hoists, fixtures, and other specialized tools. Mix and adjust coating materials, including paints, epoxies, and urethanes, to required specifications and conduct process verifications such as temperature, humidity, and cleanliness checks. Troubleshoot equipment, make minor adjustments, and maintain accurate records and documentation for coating operations. Perform in-process inspection and verification using standard and precision measuring instruments to ensure proper coating application and component conformance. Collaborate with engineering, Process Floor Support, and other technical personnel in the implementation of new coatings or procedures, and perform rework or corrective actions as required. Ensure all work is conducted safely in accordance with prescribed operating instructions, PPE requirements, and regulatory standards. Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalency (GED). Must be able to work any designated shift, including overnight. Minimum 1 year of experience in applying advanced coatings such as paints, epoxies, and urethanes on fabricated parts, assemblies, or composite structures. Minimum 1 year of experience preparing, measuring, mixing, and adjusting paints to desired thickness, selecting correct nozzles, pressure setting, or other coating solutions to meet viscosity and specification requirements. Minimum 1 year of experience handling hazardous materials, including mixing, storage, and disposal of hazardous waste, in compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance prior to start date. Ability to obtain and maintain an ATF clearance. Benefits
