What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Provide oversight and day-to-day management of research administration, including proposal preparation and submission
Manage budgeting, analysis, and justifications for complex proposals and ensure compliance with federal and university regulations
Serve as a liaison between faculty and department administrators while coordinating with post-award units for timely implementation of contracts
Monitor and manage complex sponsored project budgets, ensuring appropriate and timely expenditures and reconciliations
Prepare and submit final progress reports and closure documentation for sponsored projects
What is Required (Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, including 2 years in grants administration
Exceptional organizational and analytical skills for managing complex data and reports
Strong written and verbal communication skills to liaise effectively with faculty and stakeholders
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Master’s degree in a relevant field
Knowledge of S2S and SUBS systems
Familiarity with agency guidelines and grant administration processes
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and analytical tools like IBM Cognos Analytics
Experience with computerized accounting and regulatory compliance
