The CMM Programmer will perform 1st piece, in‑process, and final inspections and prepare data for PPAP and FAI submission, as well as prepare Control Plans and job duties as listed.

Responsibilities / Job Duties
Prepares CMM programs as required to CAD data and or prints for component parts and assemblies.
Performs 1st piece, in‑process, and final inspections.
Create layouts of fixtures and manage CMM reports for traceability.
Prepares data for PPAP and FAI submissions as requested.
Performs gauge studies, (GR & R’s) and prepares Control Plans.
Participates and assists in problem solving and analysis.
Train and develop less experienced staff with the necessary programming and measurement skills to promote department growth.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of CMM measuring devices and software.
Preferred experience with Mitutoyo Mcosmos.
Able to work with minimum supervision.
Other tools for measurement such as, but not limited to, mics, calipers, surface testers, height gauges, plug gauges, comparator, indicator, and Faro Arm.
Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance desirable.
Actively participate in APQP Process especially in gauge and fixture design.
Perform required incoming inspections.
Proficient computer skills (Microsoft, Word, Excel, Outlook).
Any other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager.
Education / Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent degree.
Basic knowledge in AS9100 and ISO9001 standards is recommended
CMM knowledge
1-3 years blueprint reading preferred.
Knowledgeable and skilled in the use of standard mechanical and electrical instruments and functional gauges.
Knowledge and understanding of GD&T.
Knowledge and understanding of Industry Standards (SAE, ASME, ANSI, AMS, ASTM, FED-STD, MIL) is preferred.
Physical Demands
Frequent walking, standing, and occasional reaching above shoulders to lift up to 40 pounds.
Vision abilities include close vision and color vision.
