SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist attorneys with fact investigation, legal research, document preparation and production.
Manage databases, docketing and case management, and provide overall client service.
Organize and manage files or delegate similar tasks.
Coordinate in-person or electronic filing of pleadings/documents and arrange for service.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Prepare materials for depositions, hearings, and trials.
Pre-trial preparation and trial attendance.
Prepare draft pleadings and discovery.
Collect and summarize records.
Assist with calendaring and docketing.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 4 years relevant experience in commercial litigation.
Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate preferred.
Significant, substantive legal related experience may be considered in lieu of formal education at the discretion of the SBU Leader.
OTHER DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Professional appearance and courteous manner with clients and employees at all times.
Maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
Experience with Relativity and other litigation support technology.
Excellent organizational, time‑management and prioritization skills.
Work collaboratively within a team and adapt to changing business demands.
High attention to detail and produce quality final work product.
Exercise good judgment, assume responsibility and act decisively under deadlines.
Maintain confidentiality and build trust.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Reliability and deliver on commitments.
Proven success working in a fast‑paced, continually changing environment.
Independently handle all key duties.
