Human Resources Manager Location: Kenosha, WI – 100% On‑Site

Reports to: CFO

Direct Reports: Human Resources Generalist

Job Purpose The Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading, directing and developing the human resources department and supporting the organization and leaders in all HR related functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits administration, payroll processing, training and development, performance management, and regulatory compliance.

Essential Functions

Implement and administer HR policies and procedures in accordance with the organization’s overall goals and professional standards, state and federal regulatory requirements, and laws, ensuring consistency.

Partner with leadership to understand and execute ViskoTeepak’s human resource and talent strategy, focusing on talent needs, retention, and succession planning.

Manage ViskoTeepak’s Talent Acquisition process, including developing job descriptions, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new employees.

Manage, process, and approve payroll, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality as needed.

Provide support and guidance to managers and employees on employee relations and organizational matters, including performance assessments and management, corrective actions, dispute resolution, compensation, leaves of absence, retention, and engagement.

Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, investigations, and terminations, including documentation of employee relation issues.

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies, including safety and health.

Develop and implement employee engagement and retention initiatives.

Partner with the CFO in managing ViskoTeepak’s relationship with benefit providers, managing benefit packages, and open enrollment.

Coordinate and manage training initiatives to provide employees with learning and development opportunities internally.

Manage employee records and maintain an accurate database.

Conduct employee surveys and analyze results to identify opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or equivalent experience.

3-5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources in manufacturing preferred.

At least 1 year of experience managing people, including developing and motivating individuals as they work.

Bilingual (fluent in Spanish & English) strongly preferred.

SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR certification preferred.

Working knowledge of an HRIS – Experience in Paycor, Paylocity, or Paycom is a plus.

Knowledge of applicable state, federal, and local labor laws and regulations.

Effective communicator with proven relationship building at every level.

Excellent organizational, time, project and change management skills.

Capability to learn effectively and acquire new knowledge and skills.

Ability to manage employee concerns in a strong, but diplomatic fashion.
