Junior Commercial Estimator – Aventura, FL | $70,000 – $100,000 base salary (depending on experience) + benefits
About the Opportunity We’ve partnered with a growing general contractor in South Florida with a strong pipeline of commercial, mixed‑use, and high‑rise projects. They are seeking a Junior Commercial Estimator to join their preconstruction team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who wants mentorship, exposure to large‑scale projects, and a clear path to grow into a senior estimating role.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and bid proposals for commercial and high‑rise projects.
Review drawings, specs, and addenda for accuracy and scope coverage.
Support subcontractor/vendor outreach and scope reviews.
Participate in pre‑bid meetings, site walks, and internal estimate reviews.
Contribute to conceptual budgets and value engineering efforts.
Maintain cost databases and subcontractor/vendor records.
Qualifications
1+ year of estimating experience in commercial construction.
Familiarity with construction documents, bid processes, and estimating practices.
Proficiency in Excel, Bluebeam, and OST/PlanSwift or similar.
Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related (preferred, not required).
Strong communication and organizational skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
