The Payroll Data Reconciliation Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of payroll data through detailed reconciliation, analysis, and audit processes. This role supports payroll processing by validating payroll results, resolving discrepancies, and reconciling payroll-related accounts. The specialist works closely with Payroll, HR, Finance, and third-party vendors to ensure timely and compliant payroll operations.

Key Responsibilities

Reconcile payroll registers to general ledger accounts on a regular basis (weekly, biweekly, and monthly).

Analyze payroll data to identify variances, discrepancies, and trends; research and resolve issues promptly.

Validate payroll inputs and outputs.

Prepare and maintain reconciliation schedules, variance reports, and supporting documentation.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.

Required Qualifications

Payroll reconciliation, payroll accounting, or payroll audit experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas).

High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
