Employment Litigation Associate
We are a nationally-recognized law firm with an opportunity for a mid to senior level Employment Litigation Associate in our Columbus, OH office to join the firm's nationally recognized practice representing premier local and national employers. This is an excellent opportunity for associates with an ownership mentality to assume a leading role in providing superior legal services to sophisticated employers in all aspects of labor and employment law. This role requires extensive contact with clients, governmental agencies and opposing counsel.
Responsibilities
Perform legal research and drafting of legal memoranda, motions, and pleadings; attend court conferences.
Handle discovery-related activities (including e‑discovery and depositions) and investigations.
Draft position statements and dispositive motions, settlement agreements and other employment-related agreements (e.g., employment agreements, arbitration agreements, restrictive covenant agreements).
Provide counsel to clients on employment‑law-related matters.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor; qualified to practice law in Ohio and in good standing.
5+ years of employment‑law experience.
Excellent analytical, writing and verbal communication skills.
