The incumbent provides technical leadership in system maintenance, troubleshooting, reporting, and enhancement initiatives, supporting HR, Finance, Payroll, and other County departments utilizing Workday. This role serves as a primary resource for Workday functionality, system updates, data integrity, and user support while driving process improvements and technology adoption.**Job Description:****ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS*** Supports the administration, configuration and maintenance of the County’s Workday ERP system to ensure optimal functionality across HR, Finance, and Payroll modules.* Manages system updates, security configurations, and integrations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.* Collaborates with HR, Finance, and other departments to analyze workflows, troubleshoot issues, and implement process improvements.* Supports the development and deployment of Workday reports, dashboards, and analytics to support decision-making and operational efficiency.* Serves as the Workday technical expert, providing end-user training and ongoing support for system enhancements and new features.* In collaboration with SME’s, oversees Workday security roles, permissions, and access requests to maintain data integrity and compliance standards.* Identifies, tests, and implements Workday updates and new functionalities in partnership with IT and department SME’s, ensuring seamless adoption and minimal disruption.* Supports IT and department SME’s integrations between Workday and third-party applications, troubleshooting data synchronization and connectivity issues.* Assists in system audits, data validation, and compliance reporting to uphold organizational policies and regulatory requirements.* Works closely with IT teams and vendors to manage Workday-related technical issues and enhancements.* Stays current on Workday releases and industry best practices, proactively recommending system improvements.* Provides technical documentation, process guidelines, and support materials for system users.* Ensures continuous improvement through automation, system optimization, and enhanced reporting capabilities.* Performs other related duties as required/assigned.**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS*** Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance or related field.* Five (5) years of experience in administering Workday or other ERP systems.**OR:** any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that provides the required knowledge and abilities.* Supervisory experience is preferred.* Preferred but not required: Workday Pro Certification or relevant technical credentials.* Ability to independently travel to and from work locations as required for the position. A valid Driver’s License is preferred but not required.**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES*** Knowledge of HR, Finance, and Payroll business processes with ERP environments.* Knowledge of data integrity practices, compliance requirements, and system audits.* Knowledge of project management methodologies and practices.* Skilled in communicating effectively both orally and in writing, sufficient to exchange or convey information and to give and receive work direction.* Skilled in effective communication skills to translate technical concepts for non-technical users.* Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with elected officials, department heads and employees.* Skilled in use of computers and programs related to the job.* Skilled in Workday configuration, security roles, reporting and integrations.* Ability to analyze and interpret fiscal and accounting records.* Ability to troubleshoot system issues and implement effective solutions.* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment.* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.**BEHAVIORAL STANDARDS**All County employees are responsible for contributing to a safe and positive work environment, actively demonstrating the County values in their daily work and interactions:* Respect:
