Job Responsibilities
Install, configure, upgrade, and patch Oracle and PostgreSQL database software
Monitor database performance and implement solutions to optimize efficiency
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including backups, restores, and recovery procedures
Manage database security, including user access and permissions
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, ensuring data integrity
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator with focus on Oracle and PostgreSQL databases
Proven expertise in Oracle database administration, including RAC, Data Guard, and performance tuning
Demonstrable experience with PostgreSQL administration, including replication and performance tuning
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with cloud database services (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database)
Experience with database backup and recovery strategies and tools (e.g., RMAN for Oracle, pg_dump/pg_restore for PostgreSQL)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
