Morrison Mahoney LLP is excited to add a mid-level litigation Associate Attorney to its New Jersey litigation team. With a strong regional presence, our firm offers a supportive environment where attorneys are trusted to take ownership of their cases and collaborate with experienced partners.
We're seeking an associate with 4‑7 years of civil litigation experience who is ready to step into a role with real responsibility, meaningful mentorship, and the opportunity to grow within the firm. You’ll work on a diverse range of complex civil litigation matters in practice areas such as general liability, construction litigation, employment and labor, and workers compensation.
Responsibilities
Manage your own caseload from inception to resolution, drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests while adhering to deadlines.
Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials, gaining courtroom experience.
Collaborate closely with clients, experts, and fellow attorneys to devise effective litigation strategies.
Conduct in-depth legal research, preparing memoranda to bolster case strategies, and work alongside partners and senior attorneys to ensure seamless case management.
Provide clients with regular updates and interim status reports.

What Matters Most
A Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA‑accredited law school and admission to the New Jersey State Bar.
At least four (4) years of prior civil litigation experience, including experience in both New Jersey state and federal courts.
A self‑starter with strong advocacy skills. Proficiency in drafting and arguing dispositive motions, as well as the ability to perform legal research and respond to discovery requests, is crucial.
Experience taking and defending fact witness and expert depositions, with attention to detail and effective communication skills.
