Our New York City firm—known primarily for its corporate and commercial practice—seeks a skilled
Family Law Attorney
to help expand our growing family law division. This role is ideal for an attorney experienced in handling family matters who can work independently while having the resources and support of a well-established firm.
Role Overview You will lead and develop family law matters within a corporate-focused firm environment. The ideal candidate is confident in litigation and negotiation, able to manage a full caseload, and comfortable serving as the primary family law resource within the team.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and handle family law cases including divorce, custody, support, property distribution, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and domestic violence matters
Conduct client consultations and develop case strategy
Prepare and draft motions, pleadings, and settlement agreements
Represent clients in court and at mediation/arbitration proceedings
Maintain strong client communication and a high level of professionalism
Help build and grow the firm’s family law practice area
Qualifications
5+ years of experience practicing family law
Admission to the New York State Bar in good standing
Courtroom and litigation experience required
Strong writing, analytical, and negotiation skills
Ability to manage cases independently and efficiently
Professional demeanor with empathy toward clients facing sensitive issues
Base Pay Range $170,000.00/yr - $250,000.00/yr
Compensation
Full-time, in-person role
Salary range:
$170,000- $240,000 annually + performance bonuses
Factors that may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
