Reputable, regional law firm is seeking an experienced
Intellectual Property Paralegal
to support their patent, trademark, and copyright practice in their Milwaukee office. The ideal candidate is organized, detail‑oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment. This role involves close collaboration with attorneys across all aspects of IP matters. Prior experience with trademark and patent work is preferred.
Base Pay Range $65,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare and file documents with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Draft client correspondence regarding IP prosecution updates and deadlines.
Assist with investigations involving potential IP infringement.
Docket and track patent and trademark prosecution events.
Support attorneys in managing cases, organizing files, and maintaining calendars.
Coordinate discovery, including document review and production.
Conduct legal research on statutes, case law, and regulations related to IP.
Maintain organized electronic and physical case files.
Required Competencies, Education, and Experience
Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred.
3+ years of IP paralegal experience preferred.
Strong legal research, writing, and organizational skills.
Solid understanding of IP procedures.
Proficiency with legal software, document management tools (Relativity, DISCO), and Microsoft Office.
