Our client is a nationwide general contractor and construction management firm located in the Phoenix area, specializing in high-quality hotel, retail, and commercial projects, including office buildings. They are currently seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team.
Position Summary As an Estimator, you will estimate construction projects including, but not limited to, tenant improvement or smaller ground-up construction. The ideal candidate has worked for a General Contractor or framing company with a strong background using estimating software, with the ability to create detailed cost estimates for potential projects. While the role may include posting jobs we are bidding on, the primary focus is on delivering accurate and competitive project estimates.

Key Responsibilities
Project Evaluation: Review blueprints, specifications, and project documents to determine scope and requirements.
Cost Estimation: Prepare comprehensive estimates for tenant improvement and small ground-up projects, incorporating materials, labor, and equipment costs.
Software Proficiency: Leverage estimating software to develop detailed and precise cost projections.
Job Posting: Occasionally post jobs for which we are bidding, ensuring accurate representation of project requirements.
Sub-trade Coordination: Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to gather competitive pricing and bid information.
Data Management: Maintain cost databases and historical pricing records to support future estimates.
Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, architects, and team members to align estimates with project objectives.
Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities for cost savings while maintaining project quality and integrity.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience with a general contractor or framing company.
Proficiency with estimating software is essential.
Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to confidently liaise with sub-trades and vendors.
Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate estimates for TI and small ground-up construction projects.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary:
$80,000 - $110,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
