Commercial General Contractor , is seeking an experienced
Estimator
to support preconstruction efforts on ground‑up and interior build‑out commercial projects throughout the Austin market. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail‑oriented construction professional who enjoys working collaboratively and influencing projects from the earliest stages.

With experience across office, industrial, retail, healthcare, and mixed‑use sectors, they have built a strong reputation for accuracy, integrity, and execution. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add an Estimator who can play a key role in preconstruction and long‑term company success.
What You’ll Do
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings and specifications.
Analyze subcontractor bids, scopes, and pricing to ensure completeness and competitiveness.
Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and ownership during preconstruction.
Develop budgets, conceptual estimates, and value‑engineering options.
Participate in bid strategy meetings and subcontractor outreach.
Track market pricing, labor, materials, and subcontractor trends.
Support proposal preparation and client presentations as needed.
What We’re Looking For
3–7+ years of estimating experience with a commercial general contractor.
Experience estimating ground‑up and/or tenant improvement projects.
Strong understanding of construction means and methods.
Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
High attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
Proficiency in estimating software and Excel (Procore or similar platforms preferred).
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required).
