The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities GENERAL PURPOSE The student will work with a PhD student on our CoE-funded nerve imaging project, developing a prototype multispectral polarimetric imaging device for URMC Medical students working the URMC cadaver lab. The student will also do some LightTools modeling and 3D model building for birefringent media dispersed in scattering tissue phantoms.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Learn and apply methods of deep learning to processing of polarimetric multispectral nerve imaging data
Assist PhD student Haolin Liao in lab prototyping of new multispectral cameras
Assist PhD student Haolin Liao in Operating Room and Emergency Room surgical imaging
Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Or equivalent combination of education and experience required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Optical design, metrology, Matlab and Python coding required
