Field Market Manager Southern California
Base pay range: $70,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr
IMPORTANT : We are only looking for candidates in the Southern California, Santa Barbara, Santa Maria, or Oxnard area.
Job Summary The Field Market Manager position is a specialist that will develop a designated territory on new and existing product offerings. The primary focus will be on building key retail and on-premise accounts through merchandising, staff training and conducting consumer tastings. Working with distributor sales teams to drive distribution and sell-thru of our products.
Key Duties/Responsibilities
Foster relationships with distributor reps, managers and merchandisers.
Conduct sales seminars at distributor sales meetings.
Train distributor sales teams on product knowledge and sales techniques, including on-premise, off-premise and chains.
Sell new and expanded distribution to off‑premise and/or on‑premise accounts.
Target designated account lists both individually and in partnership with distributors to maximize distribution, shelf presence, displays, cold box and secondary locations.
Utilize iDig and Karma to plan, record and follow up with sales calls and business planning.
Merchandise each account in accordance with brand standards set forth by WSBC.
Conduct store‑level tastings, on‑premise seminars and participate in event marketing opportunities to drive velocity for brands.
Spend 80-90% of the time in the market calling on accounts.
Build and maintain relationships with key accounts to increase distribution and drive brand volume.
Serve as a Brand Ambassador for the portfolio in the marketplace.
Preplan weeks and days in advance in order to work the plan.
Keep all POS up to date, organized and available daily for each retail visit.
Execute sales strategies and plans for the assigned area, considering market conditions, distributor alignment and competition.
Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
Valid driver’s license.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Between 1‑5 years related experience required.
Physical Requirements
Regular short/long‑distance driving to customers and vendors.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times to merchandise products.
Occasional overnight short/long‑distance travel to out‑of‑state crew drives, customers, or meetings.
