Summary As the
Terminal Manager , you will focus on all warehouse operations and manage the overall workload related to company demand and success. You must demonstrate strong leadership skills and implement process improvements in a metric‑driven fast‑paced warehouse handling freight of all sizes, weights, and configurations including out‑of‑gauge and hazardous materials. You are responsible for receiving, put‑away, outbound shipments, customer pickups, housekeeping, facility management, safety, and security. You will help manage the staff and have a hands‑on approach to promote productivity, teamwork, and communication among STG warehouse employees and temporary workers while partnering regularly with corporate partners pending the topic at hand.
What You’ll Do
Assist in providing planning and direction to control available resources, meeting customer service metrics and fiscal responsibility while operating with the company guidelines
Effectively and consistently communicate and enforce all company policies, procedures, rules, and regulations
Ensure the accuracy of inventory and shipments
Provide clear direction to all assigned teams and workers along with accountability that generates productive results
Assist in measuring and analyzing key performance indicators, performance tracking, errors, and safety/damage controls
Be responsible for selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and any corrective action for employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions, and adhering to policies and procedures
Maintain employee schedules that meet customer and company needs
Maintain a safe working environment for all warehouse staff
Participate in quarterly safety meetings and ensure all issues are promptly brought to the attention of the terminal manager
What You Will Bring
High school diploma or GED required
2–5 years of facility management experience
Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management
Understanding of cross‑dock operations a plus
Time management, organizational and problem‑solving skills
Work in a fast‑paced, time‑sensitive environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Understanding of budgeting and a profit/loss statement
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry software
Forklift certified and hazmat knowledge
Compensation & Benefits Information
Salary Range: $70,700 – $100,989
