Warehouse Only Technician – AdaptHealth
The Warehouse Only Technician will process orders, prepare items for shipment, and receive incoming inventory. This role also involves cleaning and disinfecting returned equipment, maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment, stocking and staging inventory, and supporting inventory maintenance. The technician assists the supervisor or manager in pulling and loading equipment for delivery and may assemble equipment when necessary. Maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance are essential in this position.
Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities
Loading and Unloading:
Safely load and unload materials from trucks, containers, and pallets.
Receive and open merchandise shipments, process packing slips or invoices, and safely store items.
Verify the quantity and quality of incoming and outgoing shipments.
Collect and deliver packages to the shipping area.
Material Handling:
Transport materials to designated storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
Ensure materials are stored safely and organized.
Inventory Management:
Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts and maintain accurate records of inventory levels.
Report discrepancies to the supervisor and communicate stock shortages or outages promptly.
Monitor expiration dates and manage re-inventory as required.
Order Fulfillment:
Prepare shipping containers in advance and create labels.
Review itemized customer lists, locate, assemble, and verify outgoing merchandise.
Pick and pack orders accurately according to picking lists or order sheets.
Prepare and label orders for shipment.
Safety and Maintenance:
Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
Conduct routine equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
Adhere to PPE, infection control, and hazardous materials handling procedures.
Clean the warehouse area per SOP, discard waste daily, and maintain a clean facility.
Documentation:
Maintain necessary documentation for material handling, inventory control, and shipping information.
Update inventory management systems and perform data entry as required.
Complete clerical tasks including faxing, scanning, filing, and general phone calls.
Document returned items and clean equipment following Branch Maintenance and Cleaning Guidelines.
Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA and complete assigned compliance training.
Support AdaptHealth’s Compliance Program and perform other related duties as assigned.

Ability to clean, test, and repair home medical equipment
Ability to identify safety hazards and take necessary precautions
Accurately receive, stock, retrieve, and load equipment and supplies
Work cooperatively with colleagues and others involved in the work process
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalency
Experience in construction, general manual labor, military, equipment repair, or maintenance is considered related experience
Preferred: Prior experience in a warehouse or material handling role
Desired: Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Ability to lift heavy objects (regularly up to 85 lb, frequently up to 100 lb, occasionally up to 160 lb)
Perform moderate to heavy physical labor while moving equipment and supplies; may need to stretch, bend, stoop, and crouch
Long periods of walking or standing; work environment may be stressful at times due to variable workload
Exposure to hazardous materials, loud noise, and extreme heat or cold possible
Effective verbal and written communication with empathy, compassion, courtesy, and respect for privacy required
