Essential Functions

Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics, technical drawings and testing equipment.

Repair equipment, fixtures, systems, conveyors, and other plant equipment.

Modify, lubricate, diagnose, and operate equipment in accordance with Niagara’s defined processes.

Maintain industrial control systems.

Work independently and with other team members to complete repairs safely and timely.

Document repairs and required work order paperwork, including parts and material usage.

May fill in for production operator as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a field or similar maintenance environment.

Ability to communicate effectively and resolve issues across multiple departments.

Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.

Skilled in the use of shop equipment such as hydraulic and mechanical presses, bench grinder, drill press, mill and lathe, and assorted power tools.

Proficient with precision measuring equipment (calipers, dial indicators, bore gauges, depth gauges).

Willingness to be a technical leader and trainer within a specific plant or machine center.

Own toolbox and basic tools required.

Preferred: 6 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment and managing people or projects.

Preferred: Experience with VFDs, servo drives, rotary equipment, thermodynamics or plastics processing, and HVAC including chillers or air compressors.

Preferred: Fabrication skills (cutting, welding), proficiency with 480 VAC & 24 VDC power systems, and experience troubleshooting variable frequency drives, servo motors, controllers, and PLC input/output cards.

Education

High School Diploma required.

Associate’s Degree in manufacturing, engineering, or related field preferred.
