What you'll be doing As
Market Intelligence (Senior) Analyst – North America , you will be Horse Powertrain’s “eyes and ears” in the region—turning complex market signals into clear, actionable insight that shapes our
business and product strategy . Reporting to the
Chief S&P Officer / USA Managing Director
(subject to final confirmation), you will track market and competitor dynamics, decode regulatory shifts, and build OEM-specific perspectives that directly inform strategic priorities, investment choices, and customer engagement across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
Deliver
North America market intelligence : macro trends, technology shifts, industry volumes by segment, key drivers, and credible forecasts.
Conduct
customer and requirements analysis
for OEMs and business customers (segmentation, purchasing factors, pain points, unmet needs) to identify product and growth opportunities.
Lead
competitive intelligence and benchmarking : map key players, assess market concentration, identify HORSE’s competitors, and evaluate product competitiveness (performance/cost positioning).
Provide
regulatory & policy intelligence : monitor emissions/CO₂ and fuel economy rules, incentives/taxes/subsidies; interpret implications for OEMs and consumers.
Translate policy/regulatory trends into
powertrain adoption implications
(ICE/Hybrid/BEV/FCEV; gasoline/diesel/e-fuels/hydrogen) and support roadmap/portfolio planning with risk–opportunity views.
Build
OEM-specific analyses
(especially American OEMs): stakeholder mapping, org/leadership, financials, strategy, platform/powertrain outlook, competitive positioning, and collaboration angles.
Partner with Sales/KAM and Strategy/Product Planning to shape
value propositions
and support account strategy with fact-based intelligence.
Produce recurring deliverables (trend reports, auto show/exhibition summaries, monthly/quarterly updates) and contribute insights to BP/SP and management meetings.
What we’re looking for
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in
Engineering, Business, Marketing, Economics
or related field.
5+ years
in market intelligence, competitive analysis, or strategy—ideally in
automotive / powertrain / industrial
environments.
Strong understanding of the automotive landscape and
powertrain systems
(ICE, hybrid, transmissions, e-drive).
Proven ability to
analyze data, build forecasts, and form clear recommendations
for senior stakeholders.
Excellent
report writing, presentation, and storytelling
skills—able to synthesize complex inputs into crisp insights.
Comfortable working cross-functionally in a
multicultural, matrix environment
(Strategy, Sales/KAM, R&D, Finance, EMT).
Strong toolset:
MS Office ,
Power BI , and market research/data sources.
Full professional English proficiency
(spoken and written).
