Job Description As a Calibration Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the precise calibration of measuring equipment in line with corporate and local standards. You will also provide troubleshooting, problem-solving, and project support across the site. Additionally, you will support the training and development of lower-level team members.
Responsibilities
Calibrate and repair temperature, pressure, conductivity, humidity, pH, TOC, flow, mass, and frequency measuring equipment.
Lead, conduct, and participate in systematic problem-solving and support cross‑functional investigations in all customer areas.
Participate in metrology‑related projects within the department.
Accurately and legibly record all activities in appropriate documentation and write work orders.
Lead calibration activities as scheduled, supported by the Metrology Lead.
Review documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Confirm calibration activities are performed per standards.
Operate and handle calibration working standards with care and expertise.
Address safety, quality, staffing, or personnel issues and elevate to the Supervisor if necessary.
Maintain aseptic clean‑room certification.
Identify deviations per proper procedures for measuring equipment.
Provide support to process owners for measuring equipment.
Execute work according to schedule and department plan.
Evaluate measuring equipment performance and respond to potential issues.
Contribute to process confirmations.
Maintain training qualifications on time and support training others as required.
Support other department roles as needed.
Adhere to all safety and environmental requirements in performing duties.
Essential Skills
Minimum of four years of relevant metrology/calibration work experience.
In‑depth understanding of instrumentation and control systems with at least four years of experience.
Competency in calibration, instrumentation and controls, electro‑mechanical systems, and electronics.
Ability to calibrate process and utility instrumentation.
Experience using electronic calibration management systems such as SAP, Blue Mountain RAM, ProCal, MAXIMO, etc.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Calibration expertise.
Participation in a Greenfield project, one of the largest currently happening in North Carolina, is a significant opportunity.
Work Environment This role is based on‑site five days a week in Clayton, NC, initially starting on a construction site. The role requires working in a dynamic and evolving environment, ensuring adherence to safety and environmental standards.
Job Type & Location Contract position based out of Clayton, NC.
Pay And Benefits Pay range: $30.00 – $45.00/hr.
