Parts Counterperson – Murgado Automotive Group
Join our parts department team at Brickell Honda, a proud member of the Murgado Automotive Group.
Base Pay Range $40,000.00/yr – $60,000.00/yr
About the Role This role is key to ensuring our customers and service technicians have the right parts and information to keep their vehicles in top condition. The Parts Counterperson will provide exceptional customer service, process orders, and maintain inventory in a fast‑paced, team‑driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist customers, technicians, and service advisors with parts inquiries in‑person, over the phone, or online.
Accurately identify and recommend the correct automotive parts based on customer needs and vehicle specifications.
Provide exceptional customer service by listening to requests and offering prompt solutions.
Process parts orders, including checking availability, pricing, and delivery timelines.
Maintain and manage parts inventory by tracking stock levels, placing orders, and restocking shelves as needed.
Organize and maintain the parts department, ensuring all parts are stored and labeled correctly for easy access.
Collaborate with the service department to fulfill parts requests for vehicle repairs in a timely manner.
Handle parts returns and warranty claims as necessary.
Stay up‑to‑date with new automotive products, services, and parts.
Provide input on process improvements and assist with inventory control measures.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Minimum 1‑year previous experience as an automotive parts counterperson or in a similar automotive role.
Knowledge of automotive parts and accessories is highly desirable.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
Proficiency in using parts lookup tools, computer systems, and related technology (e.g., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds).
Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
Ability to work well in a fast‑paced environment and as part of a team.
Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus, but not required.
