Tester – Level 1 – Subject Matter Expert
Location:
Chantilly, VA
Salary:
Up to $185,000.00 per year
Core Hours:
9am–4pm
Security Clearance:
Top Secret (TS/SCI) with Polygraph required.

Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and quality assurance processes for applications across multiple platforms.
Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
Perform rigorous testing on desktop and web applications developed with C, C++, Visual Basic, .NET, Java, Python, and associated web services.
Validate classification tools that use scripts and web services.
Execute testing for web applications and user interfaces (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Lotus Notes) to ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimal user experience.
Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to integrate testing into the CI/CD pipeline for both cloud and traditional environments.
Validate application functionality and performance on target platforms, including Windows and Unix/Linux systems.
Identify, document, track, and verify resolution of software defects and anomalies.
Technical Skills
Expert knowledge of automated testing tools and frameworks.
Proficiency in multiple programming and testing languages (Lotus Notes, JavaScript, Java, C, C++, .NET, HTML, XML).
Strong experience testing applications across different operating systems (Windows, Unix/Linux).
Experience with MS Office, email, and general web development testing.
Experience incorporating testing into DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience testing in cloud development environments.
Mandatory Requirements
Developmental (0–2 years’ experience)
Full Performance (3–5 years’ experience)
Senior (6–10 years’ experience)
Expert (11–15 years’ experience)
SME (16+ years’ experience)
Optional Requirements
Experience managing and developing testing strategies for classification marking tools/software.
Operational familiarity testing in the sponsor’s standard environment (desktops, servers, peripherals).
