Facilities Management Specialist (FAC MGT SPEC 2 CX) University of California, Davis – College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CA&ES) – Resnick Agricultural Research Facility, Wasco, CA.

Job Summary Hands‑on facility technician to support operations at the Resnick Agricultural Research Facility. Responsible for daily inspections, coordination and tracking of maintenance requests, assistance with facility set‑ups and moves, and maintaining a safe, functional environment. The ideal candidate will develop expertise in irrigation systems, with opportunity to advance to Irrigation Lead as the facility expands.

Minimum Qualifications

Valid California driver’s license and clean driving record or enrollment in California Employer Pull Notice Program.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience/training.

At least one year of experience in facilities management or related KSAs.

Ability to conduct regular inspections for security, fire, and accident hazards and take appropriate action.

Ability to coordinate emergency repairs during and after work hours as needed.

Experience working with external agencies or contractors.

Experience with facility maintenance and/or agricultural labor—irrigation experience is a plus.

Written communication skills to prepare correspondence, reports, policies, procedures, and training documents.

Ability to work under pressure of deadlines in a stressful environment.

Preferred Qualifications

3–5 years of experience in facilities management or related KSAs.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to apply campus policies and procedures to resolve various facilities management issues.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in facilities and/or agriculture with knowledge of practices and procedures for facility or field maintenance.

Experience working in greenhouses. Experience working with irrigation systems such as HortiMax.

Salary or Pay Range: $35.54/hr – $46.89/hr.

Salary Frequency: Bi‑Weekly.

Appointment Type: Staff – Career.

Percentage of Time: 100% – Fixed.

Shift: Monday–Friday 8 am – 5 pm.

Location: Wasco, CA.
