Electrical Maintenance Supervisor (Standard) At CF&I Steel, L.P. in Pueblo, Colorado, we are looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team focused on asset reliability, automation, controls and continuous improvement of critical electrical infrastructure. The supervisor will ensure operational excellence, enforce safety culture and enable plant‑wide performance.

Responsibilities

Mentor, coach and develop a high‑performing team of technicians in support of business goals and reliability‑centered maintenance practices.

Lead strategic planning, execution and continuous improvement of all electrical maintenance, reliability and automation functions in support of operational uptime, asset longevity and capital investment planning.

Own department electrical safety programs, arc flash compliance and NETA/NFPA 70E testing protocols; ensure adherence to OSHA, NEC and company standards.

Collaborate with senior leadership and cross‑functional partners (Engineering, Operations, IT/OT, Procurement) to manage and execute CAPEX projects including substation upgrades, power distribution modernization and SCADA/PLC migration.

Analyze asset performance using CMMS and IBA PDA tools; lead root‑cause failure analysis (RCFA) and implement data‑driven corrective actions that reduce downtime and improve reliability KPIs.

Partner with supply chain and vendors to ensure critical spares availability, optimize lifecycle costing and improve response time through vendor‑managed inventory programs.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Industrial Technology and 5‑7 years of experience, or 10+ years of electrical maintenance experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing or steel production environment.

Preferred: Master’s degree or MBA, PE License, PMP Certification, or Six Sigma Green Belt.

Credentials: OSHA 30, Allen Bradley/Siemens PLC certifications.

Comprehensive knowledge of high/medium/low‑voltage power distribution systems, motor control centers, VFDs, PLCs, HMIs and industrial networking.

Strong understanding of electrical design principles, control systems integration and predictive maintenance technologies (infrared thermography, power quality analysis, vibration).

Proven ability to lead complex shutdowns, manage multi‑million‑dollar maintenance budgets, and prioritize capital projects aligned with organizational goals.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to present at the executive level and influence across departments.

Proficient in Oracle EAM (CMMS) PM, IBA PDA, Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD Electrical and project‑management software.

Must be available to be on call and assist personnel in times of emergency and business needs.

Ability to work in both inside and outside environmental conditions, including exposure to physical hazards, elevated noise levels, vibrations and extreme cold and heat.

Must have a valid driver’s license.

Compensation

$106,000 – $120,000
