What you will enjoy doing

Be a key member of the Electronics Gases research and development team at the Linde Technology Center (LTC) in Tonawanda, NY.

Engage and collaborate with Linde’s regional businesses, global customers, OEMs, and suppliers to develop and commercialize new materials, purification technologies, delivery systems, and packaging solutions for electronics specialty gases and the advanced materials market.

Lead new product development—drive projects from concept to successful commercialization.

Design and execute experiments—set up experimental apparatus, plan and run experiments, analyze data, and create presentations to communicate technical results.

Be recognized as an internal technical expert in relevant semiconductor materials.

Ensure constructive alignment with development partners, commercial team, and customers throughout all stages of technology development.

Participate in internal and external technical collaborations to identify opportunities for new products or development programs.

Prepare invention disclosures and contribute to Linde’s intellectual property portfolio.

What makes you great

Ph.D. in Chemistry, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

10+ years of proven track record driving new product development and commercialization of semiconductor materials.

5+ years of experience with thin‑film deposition and characterization processes.

Hands‑on chemical synthesis and purification of semiconductor materials.

Experience in packaging and delivering high‑purity materials used in thin‑film deposition.

Analytical skills: XRD, TGA, FTIR, NMR, GC‑MS, MS, etc., and functional characterization (thermal decomposition, flow rate, compatibility, reactivity).

Fundamental knowledge of physics and chemistry of interfacial phenomena.

Strong work ethic and adaptability in a fast‑pacing R&D environment.

Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills for collaborative teamwork.
