Key Responsibilities
Source and evaluate new suppliers to meet material and component requirements.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors to optimize cost and quality.
Generate and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of materials.
Monitor supplier performance and foster strong relationships to ensure supply chain reliability.
Collaborate with production and planning teams to maintain optimal inventory levels.
Identify and implement cost-reduction strategies without compromising quality or supply.
Ensure all purchased goods and services comply with company quality standards and specifications.
Recommended Qualifications
Proven experience in a manufacturing purchasing or procurement role.
Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365) for order management and inventory control.
Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
Solid understanding of supply chain principles, logistics, and inventory management.
Bonus Qualifications
Experience with specific ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies
Demonstrated experience in global sourcing and logistics
Technical aptitude or background in relevant manufacturing materials/components
Strong data analysis skills for spend optimization and market trend identification
