Business Development Manager

Position Description Identify and develop business opportunities with new and existing clients.
The primary focus of this position will be on the entire energy sector with emphasis on oil & gas, renewables, power generation & distribution, and storage.
Essential Functions
Identify, meet and develop rapport with those persons within target-companies who influence project decision management
Maintains and develop relationships and services existing/new clients
Develop and implement strategic plans for proposed projects.
Prepare and deliver presentations to clients/prospects
Respond to client's/prospect's questions and requests.
Assist in proposal preparation and contract negotiations.
Coordinate the writing of technical papers for publishing in appropriate trade journals.
Ensure that Customer Relationship Management System is up to date and accurate
Participate in industry trade shows.
Preparation of sales call reports
Continuously maintain product and industry knowledge and interpersonal skills
Requirements
5 - 10 years of experience in engineering or business development
Prefer sales experience in an oil/gas EPC company, and/or;
Proven sales leadership experience in the renewables industry.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Understanding of engineering requirements pertaining to the oil and gas industry.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Work Environment/Physical Demands
Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
Frequent sitting and operating a computer.
Must be able to use body members to work, move or carry objects or office materials.
