Distribution Development Manager .

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Distribution Development Manager oversees commercial operations within a defined territory in Europe. The role focuses on delivering sales targets, growing market share, and enhancing channel partner performance and customer satisfaction. It requires both strategic planning and tactical execution to support the division’s commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute the area sales strategy in line with regional business goals.

Manage and grow relationships with channel partners to expand share of wallet and secure long-term partnerships.

Train and support distributors on product portfolio, positioning, and sales techniques.

Conduct regular market visits to end customers and partners to identify needs and promote solutions.

Collaborate with internal teams (product, marketing, service, customer support) to ensure alignment and operational excellence.

Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and report key insights and KPIs to senior management.

Support the Regional Service Manager to ensure health and safety standards and service excellence.

Ideal Profile Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Engineering (technical background preferred).

Proven extensive experience in B2B sales, distribution management, or sales leadership roles.

Demonstrated ability to build and manage distributor networks in an industrial setting.

Experience with rotary screw compressors and related accessories is highly desirable.

Skills & Knowledge

Strong channel sales and distributor relationship management skills.

Proficient in negotiation, sales forecasting, and strategic account planning.

Solid understanding of market research and competitor analysis.

High level of customer centricity, personal effectiveness, and result orientation.

Proficient in MS Office and CRM tools; familiarity with SCADA or automation systems is a plus.

Fluency in both German and English is required.

Additional Information

Location: Based in Germany, with regular travel within the country.
