Nurse Practitioner Pain Management – Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin
UW Health is seeking an advanced practice provider to deliver high‑quality, cost‑effective pain care to inpatient patients in Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin.
Job Description & Requirements As a Nurse Practitioner in Pain Management, you will play an integral role in our inpatient care teams by providing expert pain care and collaborating with a multidisciplinary health team.
Provide acute and chronic pain care for adult patients in an inpatient clinical setting, including acute postoperative/traumatic pain, chronic non‑cancer pain, and cancer‑related pain.
Evaluate and manage patients referred to Acute and Chronic Pain and Inpatient Pain Services; develop comprehensive pain management plans for complex pain patients.
Work in close collaboration with a small group of physicians and advanced practice providers; exercise a high degree of autonomy.
Qualifications
Master’s Degree or Doctorate from an accredited Nursing Program.
Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority in state(s) of practice upon hire.
Active board certification as a NP in an area of clinical practice (Adult, Gerontology, Acute Care, Family, etc.) upon hire.
Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.
Licenses & Certifications
Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority in state(s) of practice upon hire.
Active board certification as a NP in an area of clinical practice (Adult, Gerontology, Acute Care, Family, etc.) upon hire.
Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.
